providing skateboarding gear to refugees from the Gaza border
Following the October 7th massacre and the resulting outbreak of the Iron Swords War, border communities were evacuated to various locales around the country. Many communities were evacuated to the hotels in Eilat. Our homies Shalev Mendelman and Avi Bitton almost immediately offered skateboard lessons to kids evacuated from the Gaza envelope. Demand for their lessons was so high thaat they needed help getting skateboarding gear to the kids. WeSkate organized a drive for gear, packed it up and drove it down to Eilat to deliver it to the homies.

This event's success and enthusiasm will undoubtedly fuel the growth of the skater girl community in Jerusalem. It will create more opportunities for female skaters to excel and inspire future generations of skateboarders. The future of skateboarding in Jerusalem is looking brighter than ever!
